When you contact us or join a waitlist: your email address, and anything else you choose to enter (name, jobsite state or ZIP, project type, home size, message). We also log the IP address the request came from, to limit abuse.
When you order: your plan set and the project details needed to prepare the report, including the jobsite address. Payment card details are entered directly with Stripe and never touch our systems.
When you browse: we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site. Clarity records page interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, and may capture session replays. It does not record what you type into form fields. You can opt out of Clarity at clarity.microsoft.com.
To answer your question, prepare and deliver your report, invoice you, and tell you when a service you joined a waitlist for opens. We do not sell your information and we do not run a newsletter.
Each of these providers handles data under its own privacy policy. We do not share your information with anyone else except as required by law.
Plan sets and reports are kept for as long as needed to honor the acceptance guarantee, generally at least two years after delivery, then deleted. Contact form submissions are kept in our email. You can ask us to delete your data at any time; we will do so unless we need it to complete a paid order or meet a legal obligation.
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email plans@theplansexaminer.com. We are a small business and we answer these ourselves.
This site is for adults ordering construction compliance documents. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
